My favorite place to go for peace of mind. As soon as y'all are on the country you lot can experience it is blessing from God. The nature and trails are beautiful. As well, the monks, people who piece of work there and frequent visitors are genuinely friendly. It could be a simple smile, it's genuine and welcoming. I am thankful.
The Monastery has a rich history. The grounds are very peaceful. The buildings are incredibly interesting. Brand sure to go to the Abbey Church building and experience ane of the services. I was there for the 12:fifteen PM midday prayer. It was wonderful. There are Rose of Sharon and Trumpet Vines in bloom by the Abbey. Don't forget to visit the bonsai garden. The Monastery of the Holy Spirit is part of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage area and information technology'due south conveniently connected to the PATH hiking/biking trails. There's a parking expanse immediately to the right as you enter and yous can start your PATH journey there.
I actually loved this monastery! Information technology was very peaceful and placidity, perfect for meditation, reflection and/or prayer. The Abbey church building was beautiful in its simplicity. There is a small museum explaining the history of the monks and the monastery. There is also a gift shop, a cafe, and a garden shop. The monks maintain and sell beautiful bonsai trees and have several special ones displayed in a small garden. Looking forward to going back and maybe even get to ane of the many retreats they offer.

Squeamish multifariousness of stores, always run into a police force presence, only downside is everything closes too early. Nearly impossible to become there and have time to store if you want to become to multiple stores on a weekday and you lot don't piece of work in the expanse. By the time you become there, you have time for maybe 2 stores, nearly of them close at 8pm.
Was very busy on a Saturday simply we'll organized especially at the Nike store. I've never seen such a long line move so fast. Also on a whole the entire outlet was actually make clean good task.

It'due south a beautiful and well maintained park with aplenty parking infinite. The entrance fee is just $5 and they only have cash so make sure you lot accept that before planning your trip. Attached to the park is beautiful trail around 2 miles long. Trail is a bit difficult for beginners but non for regulars. Beautiful views halfway effectually the trail and a few benches along the way. Park has the all-time views of waterfall and lake. Only information technology'south non allowed to swim in the water. Overall amazing experience!
We stayed at the beautiful High Falls State Park in Jackson Georgia to do some hiking and lay over for the dark. Pulling a rig our size through what I presume is the original tight and curvy department to become to the section for larger units is NOT for the faint of eye! Just, it is doable if you take your time and are very, very careful. Our site was like shooting fish in a barrel to go into and long enough that we didn't accept to disconnect since we were only here for the night. Information technology included a footling fenced area, with a burn pit and a picnic table. In that location is but electrical and water at the site but if you need to dump they accept a well laid out station. The park is large and beautiful with a number of hiking trails. We did a four mile hike forth a gorgeous falls and river. There is zilch level here so this isn't the easiest walk, just it's well worth it. Nosotros enjoyed the park and will probably come up dorsum some time to practise more hiking and sightseeing.
Very cool place! Parking is $5. The staff was friendly. They gave us a map. Nosotros went to a wedding here. This is a fun venue for coincidental gatherings. The bathroom was open up, make clean, and well-stocked. There was plenty of parking. There were plenty of picnic tables at the pavilion, and enough of trash receptacles.

I took my grandson, my daughter, and myself. While we were at that place I noticed they have holiday events. Just so much fun and not your normal theme park
Lots of fun and things to do relatively inexpensive. All the best stuff does cost a couple bucks more. Stone climbing 5 ziplining 8 to 13. Jewel stoning pay per bag prices start at 7 up to 20. Most the other activities included in admission price. Run into photos.

We had a fantastic experience seeing and learning about the Hay House. Our guide, Shy, was bashful virtually us being one of his starting time tours, but he was fantastic. He did an amazing job showing us all the wonders of the Hay Business firm, and answering all our questions. It was astonishing to walk through living history, and try to imagine what life was like when the business firm was congenital. We had an astonishing fourth dimension, and I would recommend this bout to anyone who's interested in historical Georgia or architecture. The additional fee to come across the summit floors is worth it equally well. Climbing the screw stairs to the pinnacle of the firm was an feel, and well worth it.
Our 8 yo daughter institute out nearly the Hay Business firm, so we stopped on our mode up to Helen. Deborah, our tour guide was fantastic and shared so many interesting things virtually the house. The extra $5 to go up the cupola was well worth it. And so cool. The stop exceeded our expectations!
This tour was amazing! I did the special backside-the-scenes tour and it was awesome! Got to look behind every door and encounter all the "secret" places. The house is cute and our guide was so knowledgeable. This was, easily-downwardly, my favorite house bout in years!

If y'all have whatever interest in a subject like this, then it'southward fascinating. If yous have no interest, perhaps a visit here volition spark it.
Nosotros all had such an awesome time during the annual Native American festival; the performances, the variety of booths with items to peruse and purchase, the easily-on learning stations that taught my d.d and I how to weave baskets, make cornhusk dolls and turquoise-beaded leather bracelets, as well as the many trails, and breathtaking views of the mounds was beyond what I expected. It's strawberry season currently. Come pick your own fresh berries!! Great place to check out if you lot are in the area. Playground for the kids, a place to buy food or walk around the shop for trinkets. Worth the trip!
Saw annunciation about Strawberry picking opening day. Went Sunday Apr 2 and the kids had a great time on the playground and picking fruit. Priced adequately! Too had lunch which was good, not bully. Super fun family atmosphere overall!
So we nosotros're excited to try Lanes out since information technology was on a recommendation from a local. We we're very disappointed with all our nutrient! My husband ordered pulled pork sandwich with fries. In that location was near two tablespoons of pork. The French fries were over cooked. The side salad was decent. Ordered a small strawberry ice cream (in season only) it was skilful. And so I went in the massive long line! I ordered two Caesar salads for $8.99 each. Commencement they gave me two side salads. I had to inquire an employee if they were they correct size, he said definitely non. So I went dorsum to the pick up window and said they were the incorrect size. The young girl was friendly and said they would brand new ones. So at present I expect again..... As I stood in that location I watched two orders of food come out. The hush puppies were and so dark, they were nigh black. Looks like the oil should be changed or they were double dipped. The grilled cheese was totally burnt black. Unless information technology was ordered that style, it should not accept been served. The constant massive line could be reduced simply by having an ice cream/dessert simply line. Or take a runner get the desserts and so the cashier tin can continue with other customers. We didn't shop just there is a large souvenir shop. At that place is outdoor seating that is pet friendly. Everyone seemed to enjoy all the rocking chairs outside. I would have to remember about going back for water ice cream only, considering it's not worth waiting for twenty minutes or longer in line. I would not go back for any food. It's sub par if that and pricey for the portion. Much better food merely about anywhere.

This place is admittedly astonishing. Some of the near groundbreaking technological advancements by humankind, and it's free, no one bugs y'all, and it'due south all available to yous at your own footstep/level of interest. In addition to extremely cool aircraft, at that place'south also fascinating history told through numerous artifacts, dioramas, and displays. You gotta see it - three HUGE hangars' worth of stuff, plus aircraft outside, and it's freakin' Gratis. You lot might get lucky and see and C5 wing overhead, also.
An awesome museum - a must-encounter! This site is located on the southeast corner of the Robbins Parkway and Oak Avenue intersection. The entrance is south of the buildings. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot in forepart of the complex of buildings. There is no cost to the museum and there are volunteers inside each of the buildings. You can visit the buildings in any order but I would suggest going to the 3 stories ane straight in front of the parking lot starting time. It has a beautiful antechamber, souvenir shop, and an information desk where y'all can get suggestions on what yous may want to focus on during your visit. The museum is really a set of 5 buildings focused on different items. You could easily spend hours or days visiting each of these buildings. The primary 3 story edifice focuses on the historical aspect and spans iii stories. The building to the south houses the Vietnam era. The courtyard in the eye of the building was being used to launch rockets on the day I visited. The two buildings on the e of the courtyard firm various displays and some works-in-progress. As an added bonus, at that place are planes on display outside the main buildings including a B-52, Presidential plane, and more. Overall, it is a very dainty museum and a must-see for whatever aviation enthusiast or American history buff. I highly recommend this for any visitor in the area.
This place is a smashing stop for any aviation or armed services buff. The amount of planes here is amazing. They take some easily on cockpits for the young and young at heart to bound into and play with all the buttons and gauges. four buildings in all. We did not take enough time to appreciate all that is here, since we hit this on the mode to our destination. Kids enjoyed it and loved their models from the gift store. If you are in the expanse and have some time to spare it is definitely worth a stop, and it's free, so why not?!

In flavor fruits, ice cream, cakes and pies, pickled goods. I've never had anything from at that place that wasn't excellent quality. Every bit of 2022 leap, the pecans were about $ten to $12 a pound.
A wonderful identify to visit and store. Such a huge variety of products made with nuts and other local specialties. If yous similar chocolate, you will be thrilled with the choice here. The place is spotless. Samples are available of most products. The majority the snack items are fabricated in the on location kitchen. This is a must visit business.
We love Ellis Brother's Pecans! Every time I bring a grouping through Georgia nosotros end to shop. Chehaw Park
Parkland for learning almost conservation while seeing animals, exploring trails, biking & camping.
Slide 1 of 3
I had previously visited the zoo more than and so 10 years agone. I was disappointed to come back and being my son and see that probably x percent of the animal exhibits were just abased. There was even an showroom that looked similar it was started years ago and they only stopped in the middle of building it. In that location was a sign at the meerkat showroom that the last one had died off merely most of the empty exhibits did not provide a sign or anything. I enjoyed seeing the animals they did take, they have cheetahs, alligators, camels, a blackness rhino, and a few others. I loved the alligator exhibit, I have always thought this was the best alligator exhibit I jade seen any where because you can really meet them up close and there are so many. I also loved seeing their bar showroom, they are straw colored fruit bats and we were in time to see them eat and fly around a little. The park was non very decorated at all, we went on a Friday. The signs inside are all very faded and in general the park simply looks very fun down. I was and so excited to come back later on all these years but disappointed to come across it was not however in groovy shape. I would nonetheless advise coming, it is not very expensive and information technology'southward fun to see the animals! Information technology is still worth the money but practise non expect to need over a couple of hours to explore the whole thing.
This could exist a spectacular place to have your family but instead it is just ok. Lots of issues with the boardwalks. I am not a huge guy but non a modest one and several places in the park where I could feel the walkways giving under my feet. Also not as many animals as in that location used to exist. I loved Chehaw when I moved hither 13 years ago and now it is sad to see the decay of it happening.
We mainly went for the zoo part so our toddler could run across dissimilar animals. Needs a lot of maintenance done. The boardwalks are honestly dangerous in some areas boards are pulled up and even the rock areas are cracked and uneven. One of our companions has a bad knee so it was rough for them. The railings are besides very wobbly in areas. At that place are not very many animals. Alot of the enclosures were empty and overgrown. The park itself may be worth a visit but the extra charge for the zoo isn't actually worth information technology anymore. It's gone really downhill over the last twenty years. This used to be my favorite field trip in simple schoolhouse, and now I meet why my erstwhile school doesn't even take kids here anymore.

At sure times of the twelvemonth, huge flocks descend on the park. They are remarkable birds. The gopher tortoise program helps this keystone fauna live and breed in safe. At that place is a cute campground, a lake for fishing and boating and the river with its resident alligators. Truly a wonderful place.
Very great experience. I would accept gave five stars but the only thing I was disappointed nearly is our site was site number 13 and nosotros did not have an RV we were tent campers and at that place was non a single spot of shade on the entire site no trees. Then that was a petty bit disappointing. Only other than that all the employees was neat the park ranger everybody was polite the embankment was fun tons of sightseeing turtles and birds atmospheric condition was great the bathrooms and showers were an excellent status very clean laundry on site and so that was astonishing. We definitely will be coming back here nosotros will merely reserve a different lot besides lot 13
This is a great park. We stayed at the primitive tent sites...the one you practice non have to paddle upwards to. Swell site, plenty of infinite and the shelter is very handy. No water or electricity and then bring your own.ade a few trips upward to the RV surface area to shower and such and it is very nice as well. Pretty with Spanish moss everywhere. NO DOGS You do NEED a laissez passer to be on the boardwalk, if yous already have a fishing pass and then information technology counts but if non you can pay just for a day pass that's 15 dollars or a year for xxx, if not you tin become fined There is also a information center but non sure when they keep information technology open up. Cute walk with little information signs along the way with benches if you need to rest The top of the tower did have many hornets flying about and so exist conscientious
This wild animals refuge wad the coolest place! We saw nature at its greatest! I really liked the boardwalk that went up to the 52 pes tower. Moody AFB was shut by and yous could see the planes so clearly.

Me and my family had an amazing time this past weekend. The workers are very nice and helpful, even when they are busy. Nosotros stayed in cabin 11A, information technology was make clean, we loved the surface area information technology was in.. My kids said they liked the fact, that later on everything is closed down they got to go to the field and play.. There were then many kids just running around playing, having a proficient time. This place is then kid friendly..Me personally I loved that they rented out golfcart at an affordable toll!! We will be back!!!!
We had the best time! Astonishing staff, lots of things for the kids to do, and very friendly people were there while we were which made things fifty-fifty improve. My only complaint is they were curt life guards and would merely open the slide for two hours a day, which is definitely a main attraction for the kids.
Nosotros camped here 5 years dorsum and it was a lot nicer . Information technology's overnice now don't get me incorrect . We had a lot of fun this past week here but information technology definitely needs some TLC in a lot of areas . Putt Putt golf game was a challenge . Information technology'due south and so messed upwards. Tether ball was broken. Animal statues were cleaved upwardly. The mining station was nasty. Nosotros waited until later apex a couple days due to no lifeguard or staff showing upward to swim or slide. The park was empty similar it had a curse or something. I mean empty. We asked around . Co-ordinate to a staff member a child died from an ameba later visiting here in 2020 so it's not been the same. Not sure if that's why the lax of certain areas and the attitude of some staff merely yeah it needs some love and information technology will shine bright once more. It's really a cute park just it definitely needs some love .

This is a wonderful State Park! We came to hike for the solar day over Thanksgiving. There is likewise a little campground. Team Powers actually enjoyed the trails and the interesting history. I'll let my photos and videos tell the balance!
So beautiful and well maintained. Very friendly rangers. The trails are breathtaking and ready. Local outfitter will take upwards river and you can canoe or kayak dorsum down to the park for a calming couple of hours.
Campsites are a bit shut together, so be prepared to befriend your neighbors. Electricity, water, picnic table, laundry line, and modest firepit included at almost every site. Bath building (with restrooms and showers) is kept super make clean and well lit. Nearby trails are piece of cake to follow and provide options for a curt trip or a long hike. Nifty identify for families to spend some time outdoors!

I really enjoyed the disc golf game course. Lots of challenging wooded shots with some rises and drops in elevation. Some short par 3s mixed in with a few par 4s. Bring you best forest game. I had a blast and will go back for certain. Thumbs 👍.
Nosotros went for the Suwannee Lights brandish. Information technology was wonderful. Thousands of lights in all manners of displays. If you have a take chances you should go. It's only up during the holiday season. At that place's a fee per person and a machine fee but it's very reasonable. You drive through and at the terminate there is a section y'all tin park and walk through. My xx month one-time grandson was enthralled!!
We always accept a practiced time out here, the bathrooms were decent this time where nosotros stayed on the loop. I only take a couple of complaints. They accuse $10 to put your boat into a ramp that is completely submerged in 10 feet of mud. I feel this fee should be waived after you lot pay so much to be in the park already and with the status of the ramp. Also, some of the staff in the park are Karens. Besides that information technology is a beautiful park.

Great park. Our first stay hither was in 2020 right at the superlative of the pandemic. Our second stay was yesterday and unfortunately information technology was only an overnight stay. One twenty-four hour period we volition be back to enjoy the park for longer than a mean solar day. It'due south make clean and well kept and the sites a pretty large.
Stephen Foster has then much history. Camp sites are spacious and restrooms are very clean. Museum was closed simply Carillon bong tower was open. Highly recommend fir many reasons
This is a very nice park. Nearly camping ground sites are big plenty for larger rigs. Bathhouse was prissy and well taken intendance of. Park Ranger Watkins was awesome! She took lots of time with my grandkids explaining her job and responsibilities. Helped them to get Jr. Park Rangers. They were so thrilled!! Once more a big thank you to Ranger Watkins!!!

Truly amazing place with some great trails. Repose, remote, wild, it doesn't become much better than this. The Cane Pole Trail starting from the parking lot is very brusque, just has some overnice views of the prairie. Other trails are accessible from the Swamp Island Dr s of the main road. Highly recommend!
Beautiful and well kept park! The staff are friendly and helpful. Our Boat Tour guide, DJ, was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable! The educational center is small, but nicely done! A bang-up place to spend a day!
Just equally I arrived, I was called away, only I couldn't leave without going down the driving trail, to the boardwalk, and out to the tower. Loved information technology. Played Flute all the 3/4 mile walk. Enjoy the pictures and follow me for more stories and music.

My husband and I have been twice and it has already been worth the year membership. We are not locals so it was exciting to get finally see an alligator in the wild. We went on an evening boat bout that had breathtaking scenery and the guide was very informative on the history of the Swamp while still keeping you interested. I definitely recommend a boat tour no matter what fourth dimension of day you get. We didn't see whatever alligators on the tour but nosotros saw two when we drove dorsum to the homestead. I will exist dorsum several more times for certain. And heads up, the gunkhole tour IS a little pricey but I'm telling you it's WELL worth the experience.
We rented a canoe for a day and rowed 6 miles into the swamp. Information technology was one of the best experiences nosotros've had since moving to the south. Saw 19 gators and a ton of interesting birds, reptiles, and amphibians. Nosotros but saw a couple other people the whole day so it truly felt similar we were out in that location alone. This is easily-down the best style to experience the Okefenokee Swamp, and it's extremely attainable.
FANTASTIC short flick. Crawly prepared national parks employees. We took the 90 min boat bout with CLINT.. very smart seasoned guide..only 4 on the boat!! Become ..STOP..SUPPORT OUR NATIONAL PARKS..SAW A BLACK BEAR! It ran then fast in forepart of u.s.a. on the 7 mile swamp drive nosotros couldn't become a photo!!

We visited during the winter off season and it was absolutely amazing! There were barely any others visiting, so the river was quiet and pristine. We saw lots of wild animals, including birds, turtles, and fifty-fifty some manatees (they frequent the area upriver of Midpoint). Annotation that they don't permit you to bring any disposable items (snacks, bottled water) so make certain to bring a reusable water canteen to stay hydrated. Definitely recommend for all ages and levels of experience. Nosotros were in a party of viii with both adults and pre-teen/teenage children, with little experience kayaking, and information technology was crawly.
May 13, 2022 a Fri. It was a perfect twenty-four hours with little people traffic. We floated down twice. So peaceful...you heard the birds and just a petty talk ftom the people ahead. Water temp was nice-- not also common cold like we expected. Highly recommend! Just be sure to spray down with sunscreen and bring water in an aluminum or reusable container. Not allowed to accept dispensable containers NOR food on the water!!!! There is a small eatery that serves burgers dogs, chicken sandwich, chips, sodas at a fair price. Enjoy🙂
What a beautiful place to become run across and walk just to relax and come across and learn about the blueish hole and head bound where yous tin can swim. The water here is also 72 all year round. The blueish hole is only open to experienced divers. No free diving or pond.

Beautiful springs. 72 all year round. No lie information technology'south cold water in February fifty-fifty if information technology's 80 out. I would get wetsuits if your going in the winter months. Snorkeling and diving is recommended then yous can see the underwater caves. Kayaking and tubing the river is super fun but that electric current is strong 💪 so it'southward a workout kayaking upward the river but a blast floating back downwardly!! Clearest water I've e'er seen!! Definitely a must go to to run across…
The bound itself is beautiful. The staff continue the grounds dainty and make clean. The water is refreshing and cool. Information technology is a nice slice of nature that I pray nosotros don't destroy! The people are really the problem. I took my family for the showtime fourth dimension recently and the grounds are overcrowded which makes getting to and enjoying the spring difficult! Unfortunately, the weekend is not the all-time time to become. Besides much partying and drinking, young people are still rude and people don't watch their children. Parents were getting drunk and leaving children unattended. The staff or the park are not to arraign for the ignorance and poor behaviors of the adults present the day I was there. Those aforementioned adults immune their children to block the steps to launch onto the spring. I volition attempt to go on a Tuesday the next time. I charge per unit the park a FIVE for the view and staff. The three represents the experience overall. I will render and practice recommend this spot for a getaway. It is affordable and could exist fun for the family!
Very prissy campgrounds, from full service to tent sites, river tubing, kayak and canoe rentals. Good swimming. Well maintained facilities. Very good service and staff. I will render and would recommend to others. They need to have someone run a golf cart shuttle for tubing clients upstream. That would make it five stars.

LOVED this identify! The animals are all so loved and well taken care of, all staff is so knowledgeable and sugariness. The animals live like wild animals as they should and the enclosures are spacious and natural, absolutely a must-become!
My family came down from Virginia and we stopped in here for a tour. It was amazing how many endangered animals they are taking care of, and how knowledgeable the staff is. We were surprised at the amount of animals we were able to see and interact with…at a condom distance. We were also lucky to get an up close run across with a babe clouded leopard (adorable!), as well as to feed a rhino (both hilarious and ambrosial). Isaiah, the zookeeper who gave u.s. a tour was incredibly knowledgeable. I don't retrieve there was one question nosotros asked him that he couldn't answer. He was friendly and welcoming, making the tour a great experience. Whenever we're downwards here again, nosotros're definitely coming back to check on our new friends.
Incredible identify to see a myriad of large cats, primates, exotic species and collaborate with some really absurd animals. ten/10 would recommend. They have a very knowledgeable staff, my wife and I volition exist back. They also have the best cat on globe, the Caracal (die Rooikat), seriously an amazing place.
